1st Annual Outstanding Women in NJ Healthcare Awards Dinner
An event to honor female individuals that have demonstrated excellence in leadership to improve the NJ healthcare system will take place on November 17th, 2008 at Jasna Polana Country Club in Princeton, NJ, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The Mercer County Medical Society has partnered with McLachlan Kane Insurance Agency, Inc. to present the first annual awards dinner of its kind.
Mercer County Medical Society is an association comprised of approximately 350 physicians that practice in Mercer County, NJ. McLachlan Kane Insurance Agency, Inc. is an agency that specializes in medial malpractice insurance, and insures more than 1,000 physicians in NJ alone. As two proactive organizations in the healthcare industry, the concept of recognizing great achievements by women in healthcare developed quickly.
“Though this will be the first awards dinner of its kind hosted by our county medical society, I have been privileged to know and work with so many wonderful and dedicated people in this profession. Having the opportunity to honor great accomplishments, particularly by some of these women, is a source of great pride,” remarked Linda McGhee, Executive Director, Mercer County Medical Society. “I hope this is the beginning of a long and great tradition for our county and for women in the healthcare field,” she added.
Brian Kern, Principal with McLachlan Kane Insurance Agency, Inc. noted, “We always welcome the opportunity to support Mercer County Medical Society, and an event like this is a great way to pay tribute to those that devote their lives to improving the quality of lives of so many others. We are also pleased to be donating 100% of the proceeds from the event to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) that will help feed the homeless during the Thanksgiving holiday.”
The 1st Annual Outstanding Women in Healthcare Awards dinner will be filled with great speakers, honored guests, and prizes. The three award categories will be: Outstanding Industry Professional in Healthcare, Outstanding Healthcare Provider, and Outstanding Leader in Healthcare. Each recipient will be introduced by some of the top leaders throughout the various industries in healthcare.
“We have tapped some of the most successful and hardworking women in the field to introduce our honorees, and to help ensure a great night,” said Kern. With the support of so many medical practices, companies, and hospitals, we are also thrilled to be able to offer such a fine event in honor of these impressive and deserving individuals.”
